The Universidad Complutense de Madrid is a public institution under the jurisdiction of the Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid. It is one of the oldest universities in the world, as well as the largest (83.000 students, among them 3.500 foreign students, more than 5.000 staff teachers and aprox. 2.700 non academic staff - administration and services) and the most prestigious in Spain. The Campus is divided into a Central one, located in the Moncloa area, and there one can find most of its Faculties. The Faculties of Political and Social Science, Economics and Business and Psychology are located in the campus of Somosaguas; some University Colleges are located in downtown area. The Universidad Complutense has established international agreements for scientific and academic cooperation with a great many foreign universities. These agreements allow for the exchange of research and teaching staff, as well as courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.
